About the meeting
This conference will be a public debate on Europe, its identity and futurepossibilities. The three speakers are:
James Fishkin, the well-known professor from Stanford University, will
talk on "deliberative democracy", probably an important tool needed to
face the incoming challenges.
Neil Fligstein (UC Berkeley) is going to analyze the problems in
building a European identity.
Pablo Blesa (Universidad Católica de Murcia), will elaborate on the
European Union as a project motivated by recent history which can't ignore
its Christian values if it wants to succeed.
